The beneficiary of U of C-spurred development, Hyde Park had too much going on to bow to the relatively modest happenings in Rogers Park. Significant residential conversions, office development, and campus construction carried over from 2012 and promises to do the same in 2014. There wasn't tremendous turnout for the first round face-off, but we expect a livened response for today's bout with River North. That neighborhood went ever more vertical in 2013, with openings for two major rental towers. It also consolidated its hold on hospitality with a few new hotel projects. In whose favor will the electorate break?
