Curbed Cup Quarterfinals: (5) Avondale vs. (13) Chinatown

The Curbed Cup, Curbed Chicago's annual Neighborhood of the Year tournament, continues with the second quarterfinal showdown. The deserving (and oh-so-sexy!) candidates are presented below. This round's results will be reviewed on Friday but the poll is only open for 24 hours, starting now!

Another match made in heaven! Two neighborhoods that know next-to-nothing about each other, pressed into battle. Avondale pounded on the competition on its way to the Curbed Cup 2012 crown but, although it handily beat Irving Park in this year's first round, the vote total was kinda pathetic. Chinatown, meanwhile, did a little dance on Noble Square's face, with a much larger turnout. Although more measurable changes, physically and demographically, happened in Noble Square this year, and although the restaurant scenes are two of the city's best, the voting block in Chinatown is comparatively huge. And thus you have the stories behind quarterfinal #2. Now cast those votes!
