Wicker Park Committee's members turned against LG Development's 51-unit Milwaukee Avenue apartment proposal at a Tuesday meeting, denying the developer its blessing for up-zoning. Grounds for such action, according to DNAinfo, include "no architectural merit" to the six-story Antunovich Associates-design building and that "the height doesn't warrant the density". Part of the trouble was that on Monday the community expected 30 units, and on Tuesday it got 51. Another was the prospect of losing the 119-year-old office building at 1643 N Milwaukee. Stay tuned!
