Chicago's lust for an Obama Presidential Library just moved further from the abstract with a plug from new U.S. Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker. Qualifying her appeal with a confession that she has "no inside information on this", Pritzker nevertheless affirmed that Chicago is the best and most logical choice for the legacy-bolstering institution. At last count, there were six vocal local contenders to host the library: UIC, U of C, Michael Reese Hospital site, U.S. Steel site, Chicago State U, and historic Pullman.
