Survey: Neighborhood Retail Trends

Consumer trend researchers are deploying a new kind of survey measuring shopper behavior at the neighborhood level. Dubbed Chicago TREND (Transforming Retail Economics of Neighborhood Development), the survey seeks the input of average folk in projecting retail change, new retail opportunities, and local shopping patterns and preferences. Results will transfer to self-proclaimed "economic developers" and businesses in order to update retail models and expectations for specific Chicago neighborhoods. The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation are funding the study, so it can't be complete malarky. Here, take the survey. [Press Release, TREND Survey]
