Appearing on Thursday's Chicago Plan Commission agenda was a rezoned proposal for a 53-story, 1.2M-square-foot office tower w/ new riverwalk at 150 N Riverside. Wielding the support of Ald. Brendan Reilly (42nd), the project was approved. That brings the number of guaranteed new downtown riverfront towers to four with River Point, Wolf Point West Tower, and 111 West Wacker all pushing or exceeding 50 stories. Skycraper Page's BVictor1 shared the news with the forum faithful, and we can reasonably expect a mid-2014 construction start with a late 2016 completion. [SSP, previously]
