Here's a welcome respite from the Adlers and Van Doren Shaws of the North Shore. Not that the average citizen could stomach this Northbrook four-bed's gratuitous curves or expression of ego (see the McMansion-like, triumphant foyer). The sloppy listing copy calls attention to the property as a "2008 architectural creation of space and curvilinear design... rival[ing] none other!" Translation: this baby is cracked out. While the spiraling stairs, curvy walls, and unhinged inset lighting can get old, the circular cuts between floors, the master suite, chef's kitchen, basement lounge w/ bar and rose petal floor print, and, mostly, the pool house w/ rustic wood cladding and fireplace are stupendous. Living space totals 6,100 square feet and outdoor space a half-acre, on a cul-de-sac not far west of the Chicago Botanic. This is the new-build's first listing, with an ask of $1.775M.
