A Signature Townhouse of Ralph D. Anderson Lists for $549K

New, 1 comment

An upstanding work of the late architect Ralph David Anderson has just listed in Lincoln Park for $549K. The 3-bed/1.5-bath midcentury modern townhouse is characteristic of Lincoln Park urban renewal infill, with a compact bunker-like presence and remove from the sidewalk. For all its anti-social urbanist failings, the interiors are quite inviting: hardwood floors, beamed ceilings, exposed brick, stained glass detailing, a grand wood-burning fireplace, and a finished basement. Large windows and a glass door make the walled-in patio a focal point. The listing agent makes a valid claim when she says it lives like a single-fam. The four-unit Geneva Terrace Townhouse development dates to 1968 and is just around the bend from another Anderson complex, the Belden Townhouses.
