A 1955 MCM home by renowned homegrown architect Edward Dart (Water Tower Place, numerous churches, collegiate buildings, and suburban homes) was leveled a couple weeks ago, a fact that Bob Goldsborough uncovered for The Trib. The 1,200-square-foot ranch doesn't even appear in online catalogues of Dart's work, nor do prior listings include anything beyond a Google street view. The choices are a darkened facade, or the aerial at right showing dimensions. The degraded structure didn't offer enough to owners who plan to build something new in its wake. [Trib, previously]
