Infrastructure Watch

One endeavor the city has held fast to is bicycle lane expansion, which Mayor Rahm Emanuel hopes will eventually account for a decent percentage of all urban bike lane mileage in the nation. Some of this new mileage is in the form of the buffered and barrier-protected lanes, whose arrival is helping to tame streets and alter driving habits. And, as DNAinfo is reporting, it looks like the Uptown segment of Broadway b/w Montrose and Foster is next in line for the deluxe infrastructure. Give your feedback at Wednesday's open house at Ald. James Cappleman's ward office. [DNAinfo, previously]
