For $4.5M: Lincoln Park Mini-Manse w/ 3 Terraces, Zen Gardens

A $4.5M Lincoln Park single-family listing, while even more common than school closings in this town, shouldn't have slithered through Curbed's net. That certainly applies to this 6,785-square-foot limestone palace flanked by zen gardens. Built in 1998 and renovated since, the five-bed home consumes two city lots, doling out all manner of indulgence: a 42-foot wide living room with wall of windows; high ceilings throughout; chef's kitchen; superfluous colonnades; an "acoustically perfect" music room; three porch-sized terraces; and a 2-car garage. Listing in early September, the asking price has held steady but we suspect the place will welcome a chop or two before landing a buyer. Too bad property taxes—$50K/year in this case—tend not to go in that direction.
