After 21 Months, Historic David Adler Row Home Gets $2.65M

Let's end another rainy day with another spectacular Adler-affiliated mansion sale. This time it's David Adler, no relation to Max, and the property is a long-listed 7,500-square-foot row home on the park at Lakeview & Wrightwood. The listing gushes at the updated and restored home's "unprecedented elegance & warmth" exemplified by the Louvre-like central solarium w/ 15-foot ceilings, as well as the recurring arched doorways, paneled rooms, stone engravings, and a four-level original spiral staircase. All this tucked behind a modest facade— the favored conservatism of the day. The historic home sold for $2.8M in June 2011 but this time was only able to attract $2.65M.
