If there'd been a Curbed Award for best terrace, this Michigan Avenue penthouse would've brought home the hardware (with honorable mention for these fellas). A composite of three terraces forms the ridiculous rooftop yard with surprisingly few obstructions to the postcard views. It's only 13 stories above Michigan at 9th Street but has views to rival the top floors at Trump or The Legacy. Yet somehow, this well-composed 3/2.5 unit with 2,000-sqaure-foot terrace sold this week for $1.367M— half its April 2011 ask. So while y'all were sitting around on your thumbs, a slithery lad (or lass) got the deal of the new year.
