Construction Watch

A new home is rising on the footprint of the recently razed Frank Lloyd Wright "love nest" in the Gold Coast. Blogger and realtor Eric Rojas posted an update on the new owner's undertaking: detached single-family construction liable to be quite large and opulent. That's what you get when a lot costs $1.5M (demolition required). To refresh, Wright's "love nest" was a coach house and site of the architect's various trysts. Damaged in 2007 by neighboring construction, it was demo'd in fall 2011. [Chicago Real Estate Local, previously, photo: Bob DePalma]
