Does the latest Wrigley reno plan satisfy the interests of all the big players? The Tribune reports that it just might, given the smoothing of some bumps in the road. The Ricketts want new signage, more night games, and permission for street fairs. Mayor Rahm Emanuel wants taxpayer relief. The rooftop owners want no obstructions to their million-dollar views. And the local aldermen wants residential tranquility protected. New signs and expanded night games/concerts are the sticking points at this stage. If the Ricketts lower their figure for night games and work with rooftop owners to preserve sight lines the deal may get done quickly and painlessly, just as the mayor would like. [Trib, previously]
