Curbed's readers have spoken! The Obama Presidential Library, were it to be located in Chicago, should land at the old Michael Reese hospital site in Bronzeville. This location was chosen by a 2:1 margin over the University of Chicago campus. However, dissenting voices targeting sites not listed had many good things to say about putting the library at Garfield and MLK Drive, on a large vacant plot beside Washington Park. Others thought the area "too rough" or too remote, even though it's well served by transit and close to U Chicago. Remoteness also did in the South Works redevelopment site, despite its lofty promise. Now we wait for announcements before finding another facet to debate. [Curbed Polls]
