River Point Signs On Local Law Firm as Anchor Tenant

New, 4 comments

Just yesterday, we brought you news of River Point's official ground- breaking. And now, we're pleased to report that developer Hines Interests has managed to score an anchor tenant for downtown's first spec office building, located at 444 W. Lake St. According to Crain's, the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery is planning to lease around 225,000-square feet in the 45-story tower, designed by Pickard-Chilton. McDermott, the fifth-largest firm in Chicago, would relocate from its current digs at 227 W. Monroe St. when its lease ends in 2017. Great news for Hines and development junkies alike, though the Houston- based developer still needs to land another large tenant or two to make the 900,000-square foot project a financial success.
