Rendering Reveal

A few months ago, Studio Gang Architects released a lone rendering of their design for a new Writers' Theater in downtown Glencoe. Now, the blog Arch Daily is carrying a couple schematic renderings of the marvelous space. The glass-encased timber lobby is envisioned as "a lantern that announces the theater" by night, and a temptation to passerby in daylight. A 250-seat main theater and a flexible 99-seat space roll off the lobby, which is itself easily adapted for family programming, discussions, concerts, and lectures.
