Cubs GM Jed Hoyer Snags Lincoln Park Reno Near Boss Epstein

New, 1 comment

A mile or so south of Cubs Prez Theo Epstein's recent residential acquisition, partner in crime Jed Hoyer is buying an expanded and totally renovated home. Sold before print in a matter of days, the Cubs' new GM has committed $2.11M to the glistening five-bed property, according to Bob Goldsborough of The Tribune. Epstein helped deliver Hoyer to the Cubs last fall, completing the reunion of the Red Sox front office. Hoyer has wisely given himself a bit more buffer from Wrigley in choosing Lincoln Park over Lakeview. The large traditional home on Orchard near Fullerton has entirely new interiors with four-and-a-half baths, master suite w/ two custom closets, pair of fireplaces, great room, terrace, yard, and basement rec space. The interiors even look about the same as Epstein's (all-white kitchens, dark hardwoods, fireplaces). Par for the course nowadays.
