Luxury Real Estate

Anyone recall Chicago's defining real estate sales of the last seven years? Let's see, this year so far it's been a Playboy Mansion condo. And last year, it was a top-floor penthouse at the Four Seasons. Prior to that, it gets a little hazy. Cue Property Shark and their concise list of priciest sales. You can see that the biggest sales are from the pre-bust days, and 2012's has thus-far been the lowest (although it appears there may be a slightly bigger one). While the post may place a little too much stock in the fluctuation of the very top sale price as an indicator of the market's health, it's at least insightful to revisit these market-toppers of the last seven years.
