The Chicago Architecture Foundation is engaging youth with a new website that funnels high schoolers to pertinent design info and various age-appropriate competitions. Called Discover Design, the site is also fashioned as a forum for sharing work, tapping an online mentor, and grabbing new skills. The site uses a clever device for drawing in the kids: school building design is the focus of the participatory tutorials and gallery of student works, keeping things streamlined and relevant.
