Carlos Zambrano Lists His Other Area Home, For $2.395M

New, 4 comments

A millionaire baseball star with more than one Chicago home? Fancy that. After a fitful 2011 season with the Cubs, Carlos Zambrano was forced to start anew with the Miami Marlins. His ten years with the Cubs had him pretty well entrenched in local property. And now, reports Bob Goldsborough of The Tribune, Zambrano's Lakeview house is joining his River Forest house on the market. If you'll recall, the River Forest home was listed last September for $969K. It's now down to $859K. The city home is nicer and pricier. Purchased for $2.66M in 2008, the 5-bed 2005 new-build went up this week for $2.395M. Whatever happens from this point on, Zambrano stands to lose at least 30% on the suburban place, and another 10% on the Lakeview one. Bad luck all around for this guy. You can glimpse some old listing photos here. The new listing has none for the moment.
