"Chicagoans in general are too obsessed with density. Density is not a negative building issue unless it has to do with having too much parking like Wolf Point. Try to control FAR on large parcels all you want, but until Chicago neighborhoods have form-based codes, there will be no telling what developers proposed because there is not [a] visual standard of what should be allowed based on neighborhood character.
