It's been a little while since we've seen a compelling coach house hit the market. Lincoln Park is a hotspot owing to its barrage of intact older housing, and there seemed to be a glut of them in the spring. This coach, however, is a newer creation— built atop a 100-year-old garage, no doubt to make someone some extra loot. Vintage or not, it's a snazzy place: a large one-bed with vaulted ceilings, hardwoods, exposed brick, wood-burning fireplace, skylights, in-unit laundry, and a 300-square-foot deck directly off the living room. Returning to market after eight years, the new list of $269K is already $17K below the 2004 sale price. Not a bad place to start. And assessments are a wonderfully low $145/month.
