Coast, the latest addition to Lakeshore East, has shot up quickly on East Wacker Drive, adding some nice density along the river in the process. Designed by bKL Architecture, the sleek 49-story rental tower is a welcome antidote to the more pedestrian towers at Lakeshore East. The 499-unit building will also be home to 18,000-square feet of retail space and a 272-car garage, located below grade. Residents will have access to an outdoor pool, landscaped deck, fitness center, media room, indoor spa area, and other high-end amenities. Completion is scheduled for February 2013.
