Comment of the Day

"The tower itself keeps the building from becoming a featureless rectangle from a distance, and provides a place from which the sign can be seen from the neighborhood and beyond. It gives the whole neighborhood an enhanced sense of place (just imagine, without a Fulton Market sign, everyone could be calling the area Morgan Station in a few decades!). Imagine the glass wall on the west side continuing up a few more stories in the middle to cover the west side of the tower instead of just flatly ending at the main roof, wouldn't that look great (especially if they kept the elevator works in place and lit it up at night)?" —Anon [Unveiled: Fulton Market Cold Storage Makeover]
