North Side Keck + Keck Gem Finally Hits The Mark At $935,500

In the sleepy nabe of Budlong Woods, just north of Lincoln Square, the great Midcentury Modern duo Keck + Keck deposited a rather handsome artifact: this 1946 four-bed home straddling multiple city lots. The seller is Avi Ron, co-founder of Dream Town Realty, and he led a video tour of the house a few years back, with skateboard as "transportation", and with home as "dwelling machine" his motto. And the place really does work alongside its occupant to make for a nurturing environment, from the professional-grade kitchen to the huge solarium/play room. The open floorplan of more than 4,000 square feet includes an enormous living room, an additional family room, and a gigantic master bedroom. But the setting might be what really gets you: a combined 120' x 125' lot equals one-third acre of trees and gardens braced against the house. Not bad considering you're well within city limits. The asking price had fluctuated mightily over three years on the market, going as high as $1.698M with the addition of a buildable lot, and dropping to $999,000 before selling this week for $935,500.
