1872 Victorian, One Of Woodlawn's Largest, Lists For $250K

New, 9 comments

First things first: Woodlawn is a troubled neighborhood. We don't know if you'll want to move there, but a little good press can't hurt. Cue the astoundingly handsome and very old Victorian that just hit the market at 67th and Woodlawn. The listing agent claims it's one of the largest single family homes in the area, and 3,795 square feet is certainly considerable. The richly preserved and restored four-bed home has two-and-a-half baths, two fireplaces, high ceilings, abundant original woodwork, and updated kitchen and baths. The property also includes a huge backyard and an "unheard of" four-car garage. What we wanna know is how many carriages that equates to. Finally, just in case you're feeling cramped, an attic and basement await your expansion plans. It's safe to say you'll be doing much of your shopping and dining in Hyde Park, which serves as a commercial magnet for a large swath of the South Side. Near the 67th Street Metra and the very large Oak Woods Cemetery, Jackson Park is also only about a half-mile off. The ask? $250K.
