On the market for less than a week is this architecturally significant Gold Coast rowhome on 53 W. Schiller, going for $1.48M. Dating back to 1875, it was designed by famed architect Dankmar Adler of Adler and Sullivan. We were dubious of the listing's use of the term "brownstone" to describe the home since there's nary a brown hue to be observed. Deferring to our own ruling on 'brownstone', we're going with no, it's not a legit brownstone. Misnomers aside, the 2-bed, 3-bath residence is gorgeous inside and out. The 2,300-square foot interiors include a library, etched glass windows, 12-foot ceilings, new appliances, and an eat-in kitchen with a view of an outdoor garden.
