Modern 3-Bed Condo In West Town Asking $549K

New, 5 comments

There's a new kid on the block on Ashland in the East Village. With its sleek IPE wood-clad exterior, this 4-story modern building is quite the attention-grabber. Completed in 2011, we managed to pay a visit last August as construction was winding down on the 4-unit condo project. This 3-bed, 2nd-floor unit, on and off the market several times, is now listed at $549K. The bright, open living/dining area takes full advantage of the floor-to-ceiling glass panels. Interior features of the 2,200-square foot home include hardwood floors, a free floating tub, custom closets, and a large deck out back. Just how desirable is this stark retail-deprived stretch of Ashland? If sales activity is any indication, then there may just be some appeal. The fourth floor unit recently went for $595K, down $34K from its original ask.
