An In-Between Option At Rebori's Famed Fisher Studio Houses

New, 3 comments

Finally, a unit in the Andrew Rebori-designed Fisher Studio Houses to please the middle-of-the-road buyer. Our readers complained about cramping up in a $255K 750-square-foot duplex brought to market in March (even though it sold last month), and $1.15M is beyond the reach of most— even though it buys you the building's one-of-a-kind 2,200-square-foot triplex, once home to Marshall Fields exec Frank Fisher. This 1,400-square-foot ground floor duplex would seem just the right compromise. Except for one small matter: it's still just a glorified one-bed. It used to be a two-bed, according the the listing, so it wouldn't be unfathomable to reverse course. The decor and fixtures are on par with the other featured units and it's far brighter than the cheapo duplex. Along with the obviously awesome architectural details, the unit has a new kitchen, baths, and hardwood floors and comes with a courtyard patio space. Parking, however, is extra. What's she asking? $499K with monthly assessments of $718.
