Vintage Co-op 3/3 Asks $599K, Roughly Half Its Twin Neighbor's Sale Price

Here now, From Curbed Marketplace, highlighting an intriguing real estate listing from the many thousands of properties found in the Curbed Marketplace. Browsing the Marketplace and spot a property worthy of being featured? Send it to the tipline.

New to market, this large 3/3 co-op unit in a 1924 Gold Coast high-rise is asking $599K. Bedazzled with vintage goodies from hardwood floors and crown molding to the marble fireplace and lighting fixtures, the 11th-floor space also has a "serene master suite", a chef's kitchen with butler's pantry, high ceilings, and a total of 2,700 square feet. A quick review of other listed units in the building reveals an expired 7th-floor listing with the same floorplan last asking $949K, an active identical 6th-floor layout asking $809K, and an active and smaller 2nd-floor listing asking $690K. The listing agent claims another neighboring unit with an identical floorplan just sold for $1.05M (could be the same 7th-floor unit). If that doesn't drive home the (relative) bargain for you, we're not sure what will. Monthly assessments are $2,591.
