The 38 Best Indie Retailers; Lakeview's Retail Rediculousness; Fix Boutique Closing; More!

And now, the latest from the experts at Racked Chicago, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up...

EVERYWHERE - This fair city has plenty o' shopping options from high to low, uptown to downtown. But what about when it comes to shopping at independent shops and flexing your purchasing power with the locals? In this spirit we've rounded up and mapped out the 38 best Chicago Indie shopping experiences. Count 'em. The best 38.

LAKEVIEW - Ridiculous. The vacant Borders at Broadway, Clark and Diversey is on it's way to becoming a behemoth Walgreens. WEST LOOP - On a sad note, Fix Boutique on Fulton is closing. On the upside, everything is on sale starting at 40%. Go score a new outfit at this Racked 38 Member before they close for good on June 30.

RIVER NORTH - Chicago is getting a blow dry-only salon and it's called Blowtique. It opens on June 2 and will feature a huge menu of blow dry options for only $35.
