"Meh, I don't know how much of a shame it would be for these to go, especially if their replacements bring improved urban design, density, and commercial activity to this corridor. I admire these motels as an iconic representation of an interesting period in American architecture and culture, but I don't think they should be kept merely as museum pieces.
