Seems Blackhawks' star Patrick Sharp had his heart set on Lake View. After a setback or two, Sharp has secured a beast of a new-build in the coveted Blaine School District, reports Crain's. Built by Landrosh Development, the 6-bed, 7,300-square-foot mansion went on the market in 2009 for nearly $3.9M, according to Crain's. The builder paid $1.06M for the lot back in 2006, spent between $1M and $2M on construction, and took out two mortgages totaling $3.42M. In other words, the final sale price of $2.95M isn't ideal. If you'll recall, Sharp put an offer down on another Lake View home late last year only to be bested by Theo Epstein's bid. The two homes are very comparable, but we'll venture that this one's a little less fugly taken from the street. As for interiors, we've only pictures of kitchens and baths to go by. Nice. Really nice, but where's the rest? Sharp, who recently inked a five-year extension with the Hawks, at least ought to be here long enough to enjoy it. That's saying something when it comes to pro athletes.
