You all remember PARK(ing) Day, right? The once-a-year community-driven conversion of parking spaces to green spaces? Well, Moss Design and Studio Murmur have contributed a permanent design to one PARK(ing) Day space in Andersonville. The parklet will drop anchor permanently on two parking spaces at the corner of Clark and Farragut. A successful Kickstarter campaign raised the $5,600 required to christen Chicago's very first parklet. All the rage in places like San Francisco, we'll have to wait and see if the incremental greenspaces catch hold in our much larger and more spread out city. At least the price is right.
