The Bloomingdale Trail Framework Plan had its public launch back in early March. But its full barrage of renders and information wasn't immediately available due to a period of public comment and fine tuning. Yesterday, the city announced that the Framework Plan is complete, meaning that the Chicago Parks District can plunge further into formal design and engineering work. We'd be remiss if we didn't supply you with the full document (PDF) and its oodles of sketches and diagrams. The 2.7-mile rail line will get its multi-use transformation in stages, with the first leg loosely scheduled to open in 2014. [City of Chicago, previously, image: Ross Barney Architects]
