Environmentalist/Urbanist blog Grist dug up a ten minute video on placemaking and active living narrated by Jane Jacobs. Your editor had the pleasure of hearing her speak in Toronto several years ago, while still anchored to her role as urban advocate, watchdog, and critic. For those who never did, she was articulate, forceful, and influential til the end. Consider it this way: the video would be generic and forgettable without her involvement. We're not sure of its exact year, but the clothing says late 90s. Got ten minutes? It's well worth it. [Grist]
