Printers Row Duplex Loft with 22 ft. Ceilings Asks $349,900

This 1250-square-foot 2/2 duplex loft sits atop the 1908 Printers Row Loft Building at the western edge of the district. An old factory building, it was converted to apartments in 1996 and condos in 2003-04. This unit has a particularly interesting layout, with 22' ceilings, odd clusters of windows, and a spiral staircase leading to master suite. A 'true' timber loft with exposed beams, brick, and industrial 'lite' decor, the kitchen clearly hasn't gotten with the program. That's our sole complaint. Be thankful this isn't a low-floor unit because otherwise you'd be face-to-face with Metra train traffic. Instead, the unit affords bitchin' city views. On the market for nearly a year, the price has reduced $90K to $349,900. Assessments are $492/month.
