"I don't even think that tall among short (which this really isn't) is always a bad thing aesthetically. I'm thinking of that goofy tower up on Pratt a little west of Sheridan. It has appealing brick architecture and a narrower footprint than this proposal, but more than that I appreciate how it throws a little unpredictability into the street wall. Compare that to the 1300 W block of Estes, which is nothing but courtyard buildings of the same height.
