The Ask Drops $500K on Bonkers Lincoln Park Manse

We're revisiting an old friend today— a bonkers rehab by Wheeler Kearns Architects, on the market for $4.25M in Lincoln Park. Back in October, we gave convivial treatment to the six-bedroom 8,500-square-foot playground built into the shell of a 1912 house. The seller, more disciplined than most, waited six months before adjusting the ask. Originally shooting for $4.75M, a single forceful chop took $500K off the top. A few more of those and we'll talk. To refresh: the modernist reconstruction boasts towering ceilings thanks to the steel & glass cage protruding from the home's behind; the kitchen and just about every other room are enormous; there's an attached studio apt for "nannies"; and, we mustn't forget the separately-housed in-ground lap pool and lawn "perfect for croquet". Sure, you can walk to the park, zoo, and lake from here, but we don't know why you'd bother.
