What remains to be accomplished now that Travel + Leisure Mag has named Chicago one of the best cities for "hipsters"? Despite being weighed down by a citizenry that's "not particularly offbeat", we've got the goods when it comes to a bohemian art and theater scene. The evidence? Wicker Park's "bookstores and lounges" and Ukrainian Village's literary and diverse community. Imagine that! We can't dispute Chicago's generally non-judgmental atmosphere which allows "hipsters" to breed and thrive. You'll find the species just about everywhere on their fixies, rain or shine. It's just that the categorization is pretty vapid and stale. And the ranking? Next to meaningless. [Travel + Leisure]
