Parking Spats

New, 1 comment

The condo association of luxury building The Fordham and the independent owner of the Fordham's garage have been at each other's throats for several years over the matter of parking. A murky and unsettled agreement for cost sharing has led to each side claiming reibursments against the other. Now, the garage owner is playing hardball. The venture, controlled by Water Tower Realty Management, has said it will begin charging residents—who've already laid out for some of River North's highest priced real estate—about $180/month to access the garage. But the spat must live on: The association is, of course, suing to halt the fees. No telling how much further it'll escalate. [Crain's]
