The sister Ambassador East and West hotels were once associated with elite entertainers and politicians. Frank Sinatra's preferred suite, according to Chicago Mag's Dennis Rodkin, sat atop the Ambassador East, and the building was also featured in Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest. So what brought Rodkin to the site? The gracious and now converted condominium buildings boast a high-flying listing: A seventh-floor 4,000-square-foot Ambassador West unit with classy decor, big windows, two balconies, and four exposures. With "views that will never go out of style", the seller is asking $3.3M, way more than a lower floor unit half-the-size that recently sold for $1.125M.
