Over at YoChicago they're highlighting the recent for-sale listing of an "1888 Potter Palmer Mansion", not to be confused with the Potter Palmer mansion, completed in 1885 and demolished in 1951. The original Potter Palmer mansion helped cement the Gold Coast as the city's new big money district. Palmer himself, a businessman, was very much a part of early downtown development. As for the Palmer listing at hand, there aren't any interior photos, but we can relay that the singular orange stone home has been renovated, boasts restored millwork, and has four bedrooms, five full and two half baths, and a two-car garage. The ask? $3.975M. [YoChicago]
