For the past week, everyone's been busy cheering the certain closure of two coal plants in Pilsen and Little Village. A big coup to be sure, the logical follow-up question becomes what to do with all that space? The Sun-Times spoke with area residents and activists in an attempt to pin down community desires. A universal yearning: more park space. Another major concern: job production. Will these concerns guide site transformation?
