A new crowdsourced system of listing, searching, and reviewing buildings has just launched. It's called Honest Buildings, and it's fixing to be the Yelp of architecture where interested parties can glean the straight goods (and a dose of the disgruntled) on a building in question. Already, basic info on 50,000 buildings has been uploaded to the site. Treehugger is marveling over the possibilities the site holds for promoting transparency in green design, and the hope is many other stakeholder groups will put their trust in the site as a valuable real estate tool. Eventually, it may begin to hold building owners and managers accountable for the state of their buildings. [Treehugger]
