For $12,000: A New 5,000-Square-Foot Lincoln Park Duplex

New, 1 comment

From what we were able to glean from MLS, this 4/4.5 East Lincoln Park duplex stands as the second most expensive Lincoln Park rental on the market after the $17,000/mo single family at 1906 N Burling (simultaneously listed for sale at $4.1M). So what does $12K get you these days? Walnut built-ins; chef's kitchen w/ custom cabinets; hardwood floors; coffered ceilings; a couple of fireplaces; and, of course, the requisite marble bath. The unit also comes attached parking and price includes all utilities. It's swell and all but, thing is, except for the upper floors of a select few residential towers, not many condos dare to ask for this kind of coin. Is the rent too damn high? We'll let our readers make the definitive call. Note: This property is also simultaneously listed for sale, at $2.49M and down nearly a half-mil since last March.
