Guess the Ask on this Quirkily-Renovated Montclare Victorian

New, 2 comments

PriceSpotter is Curbed's asking price guessing game. We provide you with some details and pictures from an apartment listing, and you take a crack at the price in the comments. Friday we reveal the answer. And hey, no cheating!

What/Where: A 4/4.5 two-story 1890 Victorian on a 50x199' lot in the western 'hood of Montclare.
Square Footage: roughly 2,000

The Skinny: The two most critical pieces of information on this property, as it concerns our price spotters, are its long stay on the market and the ugly and its strange remodeling. The house has been listed, with barely any pause, for three-and-a-half years now. One can safely assume a number of price cuts. While the home gets a clean bill of health both inside and out, it has a significant quirk or two. Chiefly, the master suite looks like it belongs to a geodesic dome from the 70s. Located in an attractive area near the Mars Metra station on an enormous lot, it's not clear what should be done to aid the sale, but Curbed suggests reworking the decor. But your job, dear reader, is to first nail down the ask.
