Here's a little something to make your day more chipper. A London project in the works for 24 years and counting, but fairly under-the-radar stateside, "Animals on the Underground" collects illusory animals residing in the famously congested tube map. The first recorded sighting was of an Elephant in 1988. Since then, 35 more species have turned up ranging from dog to snail. Chicago's own possibilities are limited, but we reckon you can conjure a whale or other simply-outlined creature from the tangle downtown. Bam! You have your homework. [Animals on the Underground]
